Sir Handel, is a narrow gauge engine that works on the Skarloey Railway. He is known among the engines for his temper tantrum. Later, he had a change of heart.
Sir Handel first came to Sodor as part of the Mid Sodor Railway. Whilst there, he was known as Falcon, like Peter Sam was Stuart. Like his Corris brothers, he was built as a 0-4-0ST and was rebuilt into a 0-4-2ST by the Skarloey Railway due to his tendancies to bounce on the track and derail.
Railway SeriesEditWith the closure of the Mid Sodor Railway in 1947, both he and Stuart were sold to the Sodor Aluminium Company, where both locos were unused until the Skarloey Railway bought both locomotives for fifty pounds each. Falcon was then renamed Sir Handel.
While working on the Skarloey Railway, he found the worn track to be rough riding and often derailed, like his Corris brother on the Talyllyn. He was then rebuilt into a 0-4-2ST by the railway. He has remained like this ever since, even though the line is in a better state.
Sir Handel has visited the Talyllyn Railway, where he pulled a wedding train and had a collision with a tree. He is currently visiting the railway once again, replacing Duncan.
Initially, Sir Handels bio followed his Railway Series counterpart closely. In later seasons though, Sir Handels bio was rewritten to where is one of the oldest engines on the Narrow Gauge Railway. He generally is of the opinion that he knows best and should be the boss. This occasionally leads him to have troubles with other engines and the trucks. Still, he always gets the job done.
